Creative Excuses
a letter from the editor/intern
This edition of IpsumNEWS is dedicated in innovation, creativity and design. The most interesting thing about all of these is that though they are the forward-most facing part of marketing and advertising, when they're done well, they're almost invisible.
How many times have you noticed the font choice on a direct mail piece? Ever remarked how well that HTML email looks in your inbox? Ever commented on the color and layout of a well-designed website? My guess is that the only thing that grabs your attention is when something stands out as a mistake. We'll maybe that's only interesting to me.
In the spirit of creativity and innovation, I present to you the most creative excuses heard around the office here at Justin Downey Marketing.
The 4 Most Creative Excuses
1. "There's a Family emergency. We're all hungover."
2. "There's too much traffic this morning. I'll be in tomorrow."
3. "I can't find my car. Is it there?"
4. "I can't for religious reasons. I'm looking up what they might be on Wikipedia."
